I have recently been completing some research into the perception of financial advice and would like to provide a summary of the results. Here are the main themes from what people said:
- Financial advisers just sell products
- How do I know I can trust the advice?
- Being pushed into something I don’t want or need
- Does the adviser know what they are doing?
- How is the advice implemented to ensure it does not get lost in my inbox?
- How can you help a recent graduate?
- Help me to not worry about money
- How do I know if I am on track for retirement?
We also received a number of responses from people who currently work with a financial adviser and they are really happy with the progress they are making and the comfort that comes from knowing that they are on track.
I will be creating articles and videos to address the above responses to the survey and any future themes that we identify. If you would like to receive my newsletter by email, please fill in your basic details.
To those who have participated in the research, thank you, it is really helpful.
Please share your experience by leaving a reply below. We’d love to learn from your experience. And, if you have not yet provided me with your thoughts, I would be interested in your survey input via the button below. There are only 3 questions and it should take around 1 to 2 minutes to complete.
